A FUN DAY OF EVENTS IS LISTED BELOW:
Location – Strathmore Elementary School, 3200 Beaverwood Lane, Silver Spring, MD 20906
11:30 a.m. 2023 Patriotic Car registration at Strathmore Elementary School (end of Beaverwood Lane) Prizes for the top three cars.
11:45 a.m. 2023 Children’s Parade registration – As in the past, we will march north on Beaverwood Lane from Strathmore Elementary School. The parade then turns at the second entrance to Birchtree Lane and turns left on the paved path to our community swimming pool.
Noon – Fire trucks from the Kensington Fire Station 25 on Connecticut Ave arrive. This is a great time for the parents and children to speak with the emergency team and take photos of the children and their vehicles.
12:20 p.m. Bel Pre BSA Troop 763 Scouts will present the Raising of the Flag before the parade begins in front of Strathmore Elementary School.
12:30 p.m. The July 4th Parade begins. The children’s parade will include children with bikes and ends at the swimming pool parking lot. The car parade will follow this map route and tour the Strathmore Bel Pre Community ending at Strathmore Elementary School. This parade is usually twenty to thirty minutes.
1:00 p.m. The Magic Show – Michael Chamberlain, a popular and exceptionally talented magician.
2-3:30 p.m. Children’s games – The children enjoy this time with their families and friends.
POLICY FOR VISITORS TO THE POOL DURING OUR JULY 4TH CELEBRATION: To enter the swimming pool and Pavilion area, the SBP Board requests that guests and friends of Strathmore Bel Pre members register/sign in the red July 4th log-in book at the manager’s desk near the pool entrance.
