Our Community

Community First

Strathmore Bel Pre is more than a collection of homes—it’s a community built around connections between neighbors. Throughout the year, residents come together for neighborhood traditions, social events, community activities, and opportunities to support one another.

Community Organizations & Resources

Several resident-led organizations help support the SBP community:

Strathmore Bel Pre Civic Association (SBPCA)
Our civic association connects neighbors, shares community information, and brings residents together through neighborhood events and activities. Dedicated to strengthening communication and community life, it keeps residents informed about issues affecting the neighborhood, publishes The Bugle, and supports traditions throughout the year, including the Annual Yard Sale, Summer Entertainment Series, and July 4th celebration.

Bel Pre Recreation Association (BPRA)
The BPRA serves as the homeowners association (HOA) for the neighborhood. Its primary responsibility is to manage and maintain the community’s recreational amenities, including the pools and courts, playgrounds, picnic area, bathhouse, snack bar, and pavilion located on Association property.

Strathmore Bel Pre Swim Team
The SBP Dolphins is our neighborhood swim team, which has been in continuous existence since the 1970s and is open to all community children ages 4 to 18. The swim team is an anchor of the SBP community!

SBP Village
The Village is a free, multigenerational community program that helps neighbors support one another, build connections, and stay engaged close to home. Open to all adult residents of Strathmore Bel Pre, the Village offers volunteer support, social and educational programs, wellness activities, and interest groups—from friendly visits and home assistance to classes, outings, and neighborhood gatherings.

SBP Community Cat Committee (SBP-CCC)
A neighborly effort focused on the health, safety, and well-being of outdoor cats in SBP. Neighbors work together to connect cats with resources, promote responsible care, support Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), and help lost, found, stray, and community cats. The goal is simple: support our neighbors—both two- and four-legged—and build a safer, more informed community for everyone.
