Proposed Pool Rules Revisions:

The current pool rules were adopted 25 years ago.  For the last year, the BPRA's Governing Documents Committee has been working on developing an updated version that reflects current actual practices, current County requirements for community pools, and -- we hope -- the expectations of the community.

Linked is a draft proposal that the Committee has developed.  Your comments and suggestions for additional modifications would be greatly appreciated.  We want to get this right!

In addition to covering the pool rules, the proposal also include the tennis court rules, the pavilion rules, and the parking lot rules.

Covenants – Useful Background

Instead of having one set of covenants covering the entire subdivision, the developers that built Strathmore at Bel Pre decided to have many covenants — some apply to most of the subdivision, some apply to parts (“sections”) of the subdivision, and some apply only to individual properties. It may be useful to review “A Primer on the Strathmore at Bel-Pre Covenants” (originally published in the June and November 2012 editions of The Bugle). Additionally, a useful background reference is the Montgomery County Commission on Common Ownership Communities notice of availability of dispute resolution, education, and other services.
